The Wildcat

team made 19 points, Higgs, the big boy from Dallas, looked like a million dollars. Farley, a rookie, showed up well in the game. His passing and returning of punts as well as the choice of plays were very good. Labat, the boy from New Orleans, La., and the tackles kept the opponents guessing what was going to happen next. The final score was 78-0.

The Bishop Bears sharpened their claws and held the Wildcats to a 16-0 game when the latter was doped to win 40-0. As was the usual custom, Coach Long started his second string backs who found the going tough. The first string backs, Johnson, Evans, Davis and Odell were inserted only to find the same stubborn wall. The first score came when Loving blocked a punt and then fell on the ball.

After a thrust at the line, Johnson circled right end for a touchdown. The running, squirming, side stepping quarterback went across untouched. In the third period, Captain Franklin made a 45-yard field goal. As the last play started the pistol shot. The defense undoubtedly thought the ball was dead. They found out differently too late and Davis ran quards for 40 yards at the last touchdown of the season. The pass from Johnson to Busby was good; thus the game ended 16-0.

This game ended the career of Briggs, Evans and Griffin. Griffin is the unsung hero of our ends. Weighing 150 pounds, he has been a thorn in every teams' side this season. He has repeatedly stopped the safety man in his tracks on punts. His end was only circled once, and on offense he always got his tackles though the outweighed him many pounds.
