Cagers

After the enjoyment of a successful football season by the followers of the pigskin, the sharpshooting basketeer Wildcats were determined to equal the record of football players. The cage quintet coached by the master moulder, Fred Long, won nine games and lost two, defeating some of the strongest teams in the southwest. The team does not boast of one or two outstanding players, but boosts a powerful cage quintet. Next season the team will make its debut in the southeast in an attempt to gain national honors in basketball as well as in football. This year's team was composed of the following men: Henry Milton, Harry Briggs, Captain Henry Johnson, Felton Richmond, Perry Parks, Elza Odell, William Warren, Nolan Anderson, Eugene B. Cavil, George Spencer, Clarence Franklin, George Hollis, Manager Andy West, Trainer James Evans, and Coach Fred Long.
