[[short line]] Paul Studenski, the Russian aviator who was painfully injured Saturday evening at the Silver Lake aviation field, when his areoplane went wrong and plunged to the ground, from an altitude of 100 to 150 feet. He escaped being caught under the machine, and was able to crawl out of the debris and stand up. His bride of four months who has been his constant companion except when he made his flights, was at his side almost instantly, she being among the few spectators who witnessed the accident. The aviator was in a dazed condition and was not able to give any explanation of the accident. He was taken to the hangar suffering from his severe shaking up, and was later removed to the Stein home on north Front street where Mr. and Mrs. Studenski have rooms. Dr. W. W. Carey was summoned later in the evening and found the aviator suffering with his right foot badly stove up, and his neck badly strained. He is getting along nicely, but is unable to explain the reason of his fall, and escape from death. The machine, a Curtis biplane is almost a total wreck, except the engine. It is the same machine damaged last Wednesday in making a landing on rough ground and had be repaired but a short time before Studenski started on his flight that ended so quickly. The wrecked plane was built last summer by the Akron Aviation Co. at the lake and was used by Oliver Sherwood in a number of successful flights during the season.
