Area 6x10 ft in heavy rice flattened by wind as if by the impress of foot of some huge animal.  Formed flat mat of rice that would furnish resting place for ducks.  Then birds might be accused of doing trampling

[[?]] chairman of supervisors Glenn County advocates throwing open of season without restriction so that birds may be shot out without question.  Says that he will tell any man to shoot the ducks out of his rice and that he is certain that there will be no convictions under the law.

Earnest Behr says that opening the season ducks is foolishness that the birds can be moved out more certainly by the use of bombs etc and that the whole thing can be done more [[economically?]]
