Blackbirds working in rice Tricolored maily. Few male Xanthocephalus among them. This must indicate wandering as there is no nearby area for these birds to feed.

Mouse holes in chicks may occasion [[breaks?]].

Mice cut off rice 6-8 inches above water. If stem is long it is frequently severed again immediately below head.

Blackbird work in dough rice, hulls lie on chicks underneath but are scattered not concentrated in small pile. Hulls are also accompanied by dung.
