August 23, 1918.

Mr. Alexander Wetmore,
Sacramento, California.

Dear Sir:-

On looking over the rice vs. ducks data we find a slight mistake has been made inadvertently by me in the compilation of same. The mistake is in the letter which was forwarded to you from us by the State Agricultural Department, dated January 8, 1918. The mistake is on the first page in the third line from the bottom. You will note this line "Mr. [[underlined]] Sehorn [[/underlined]] has informed us, etc.". This line should read "Mr. [[underlined]] Egilbert [[/underlined]] has informed us, etc." We have this clipping taken from the Willows Journal, which you, no doubt, saw among our other data.

Will you please make this correction for us.

Very truly yours,

Transcription Notes:
George Neale was Executive Officer of the California Fish and Game Commission. Name of author of letter hard to decipher but probably 'Neater' based on the letter reference at the bottom starting GN With some research there was a "Geo Neale" who had a position in the California Fish and Game commission, not sure if the time periods are correct though.
