House of Representatives U. S.
Washington, D. C. [[/preprinted]]

August 23, 1918.

Mr. Alexander Wetmore,
State Horticultural Commission,
Sacramento, Calif.

Dear Mr. Wetmore:-

I have discussed your visit to California a number of times with Dr. Nelson. I presume you have heard from him in reference to the interest of Mr. W. D'Egilbert, Secretary of the Western Rice Growers' Association of Willows, Glenn County, California.

Mr. D'Egilbert has long been interested and active in reference to this matter, both as Secretary of his Association and as an individual rice grower and I should very much appreciate it if you would get in touch with him while making your investigation.

Appreciating your work which is of so much interest to our people of the rice growing sections,

I am,

Sincerely yours,
