6. [[underline]] Querquedula cyanoptera [[/underline]] (Vieilict).

Cinnamon Teal.

A single male was observed on Long Lake on June 28 and again on June 29.

7. [[underline]] Erismatura jamaicensis [[/underline]] (Gmelin)

Ruddy Duck.

A pair of Ruddy Ducks was found on [[underline]] Be-e-khet-hum-nez [[/underline]] on July 1, swimming about in open water, with the male displaying constantly. I supposed that they were breeding here though careful search in the tules failed to reveal a nest.

8. [[underline]] Fulics americana [[/underline]] Gmelin.

American Coot.

Two pairs of coots were observed on Long Lake on July 1 and I estimated that twenty-five pairs were breeding on Be-e-khet-hum-nez. Several nests were found here, concealed in growths of [[underline]] Scirpus occidentalis [[/underline]] and built up 6 or 8 inches above the water. A part were empty and had in part at least given forth young. Two nests containing 6 eggs were observed and one each with 10 and 11; In two of these the eggs were hatching. Ten pairs of Coots were found on To-Teh-Khih on July 2. All these localities are at an altitude of 8800 feet.

9. [[underline]] Totanus melanoleucus [[/underline]] (Gmelin)

Greater Yellowlegs.

At Red Lake, near the bass of the mountains, one came circling in on the evening of June 26 and then passed.on.

10. [[underline]] Oxyech us vociferus vociferus [[/underline]] (Limaeus)

Killdeer.

A breeding pair was observed at Be-e-khet-hum-nez on June 29, and
