Mr. J. Stokley Ligon,
Box 131,
Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Dear Mr. Ligon:

In Dr. Fisher's absence, your letter of April 26 addressed to him, has been given to me for my information. I am very glad indeed to have the notes on Stinking Lake and the conditions there, and especially the information regarding the Chama Rod and Gun Club. I expect to leave Washington on the evening of May 16, but have first to go into Southern Texas. According to the itinerary I have arranged I should reach Chama, New Mexico, at noon on May 21 and hope to be able to complete arrangements so as to go to Stinking Lake on the following day. It is possible, of course, that I shall be delayed for one day somewhere along the route, so that I may not reach Chama until the 22d. If your plans permit, I shall be more than pleased to see you at the lake and to talk with you regarding the work we are to carry on there. From information that has been available I believe by arriving there before May 25 I shall be in plenty of time to catch all of the breeding birds and, in addition, perhaps, to make notes on some of the later migrants.

With best regards, I am
Very truly yours,

Assistant Biologist.
