The lake water is not very good to drink. There are some small springs of fair water about four or five hundred yards Northeast of the cabin, in a draw that enters the lake just North of the house.

If Mr. Wetmore will write me just when he will arrive at the lake I shall try to arrange my plans so that I can be there. It is important that I visit my hunter there at the earliest date practicale and at the same time I may be of some assistance to Mr. Wetmore in getting located.

The name of our hunter at Stinking Lake is: Ernest L. Pineau.

If I can be of further benefit to you in this important matter I am gladly at your service.

Sincerely yours,

(Signed) J. Stokley Ligon

Predatory Animal Inspector.
