Mr. Nihachiro Hanamura, Deputy President of the Keidanren, has subsequently become a member of the "Friends" committee. In his official Keridanren capacity, Mr. Hanamura will convene a meeting in Tokyo in late January of the 74 corporations and other organizations expected to contribute toward the construction of the Center for Eastern Art. Assistant Secretary Perrot and Mr. Symington will make a presentation on the Center for Eastern Art and will remain in Tokyo for several weeks to call on individual corporations.

An individual approach has also been initiated to Mr. Riyoichi Sasakawa, a leading figure in Japan, as well as Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Wallace of the Reader's Digest for the garden and for the education center within the Quadrangle.

Mr. William Anderson's committee for domestic corporate contributions will get underway in January and may include a few particularly distinguished Honorary Members. Active members of the corporate committee for Quadrangle
