[[bold]]Queen Emma-The Siberian Telegraph[[/bold]]
     SAN FRANCISCO, Wednesday, Oct. 3. 
 Queen Emma is visiting the fortifications in the harbor to-day as the guest of the Collector of the Port. 
 A letter from the Western Union Extension Telegraph party dates St. Michael's, Northwest Coast, Aug. 20, says: "The ships from San Francisco have not yet arrived, but they are expected daily. The telegraph employes have had no direct news from the outer world for more than a year. Col. KENNICOTT, the leader of the St. Michael's party, died suddenly at Milato Bay last May. The remainder of the party are well. Stores are plenty, and Russian officers have treated the party with great kindness and hospitality."
 Three State Conventions are now in session at Carson, Nevada, namely: The Union State Convention, the Johnson Union Convention, and the Democratic State Convention. 
 Mr. H. W. CARPENTER, President of the California State Telegraph Company, is among the passengers who arrived on the steamer [[italics]]Golden City[[//italics]] to-day. 
 One hundred thousand pounds of Fall clip wool sold last week at 14c@16c. per pound. 
 Wheat is firm at $1.50@1.55 per 100 pounds. 
 Arrived ship [[italics]]Victoria Cross[[//italics]], BAILLERK, from Glasgow. 
 Mining stocks are dull. Challar, $118; Yellow Jacket $742; Imperial, $84; Ophir, $190; Savage, $1,130. 
 Legal tenders unchanged.
 COLES BASHFORD has been elected Delegate to Congress, from Arizona, by a majority of 300.
