The Adjutants Department has been increased by the addition of one Clerk Mr. J. A. Finlay whose Services have been of great value. The Draughting Department has been under the Supervision of Mr. John F. Lewis and has made many valuable additions to the extensive collection of maps and charts already in our possesion with each large Section there has been left a competent Surveyer astronomer. Competent artists have been distributed at Various points whose Sketches will add materially to our knowledge of all parts of the Line. In the field no important changes have been made. The Siberian Division has been divided into Districts and Sections placed under the charge of the Officers composing the original Expedition of 1865 the district from the Amoor to the OKholsk is under the charge of Mr Jas. A. Mahood from OKhotsk to Ghzizha Mr. George Kennan has Charge while from Ghzizha to the mouth of the Anadyr the district is under charge of Mr K. J. Bush.
