I am directed by Brevet Major=General O.O. Howard, U.S. A., Commissioner, &C, to enclose herewith, for delivery to him, the discharge of [[underline]]Moses Goodman[[/underline]] late a [[underline]]Private[[/underline]] Co. [[underline]] "A", 35th [//underline]] Regt, U.S.C. [[underline]]Infantry[[/underline]] together with letter from the Second Auditor of the Treasury, reporting adversely on his claim for [[underline]]Bounty.[[/underline]]

The last known Post=office address of the claimant is [[underline]] New Berne, care Bureau &C, New Berne, No. Ca.[[/underline]]

Please date and sign the accompanying form of receipt for discharge certificate, &c, and return same to this Office.
