are wholly insufficient, and the collection has reached that condition of overcrowding which prevents any additions whatever being made to many of the drawers, and it thus becomes necessary to arrange fresh accessions separately, or wherever room for them can be found. The confusion thus caused is a great obstacle to the speedy transaction of business of the department; [[strikethrough]] in [[/strikethrough]] in short, the two subjects just discussed are a serious embarrassment to the curator, who earnestly hopes that some means may be found to remedy the difficulty.
