Grand Avenue July 25th 1879

My dear Alice,

I found your first letter here, when I got home, & rec'd your last a few days ago. For both--
thanks. I was disappointed at not seeing you, but never doubted there was good reason for it -

I had a delightful visit of six days, at Little Falls, & [[travl'd?]] home safely on the fifth. Found my children mostly in the country with [[underlined]] their [[/underlined]] children. Jennie & her one chick at Geneva Lake, & The rest at Oronomonoc. I had a nice time to myself, my friends & my books.

I send you the names [[&c?]], of my children, & their children - It is not a very [[underlined]] clerkly [[/underlined]] looking document - but the [[underlined]] facts [[/underlined]] are there & you will arrange them properly
