It gives me pleasure to hear from you again. I had heard of a young lady from Boston being found in a starving condition among the Omahas, but nothing further till yours arrived. I have spent $8.87 for you, to mail to-day a little package of sundries. There are a pair of moccasin patterns representing a buffalo's face, with some quills, & also two or three of the mid rib of feathers which are used instead of porcupine quills sometimes, buffalo sinew for thread, & an awl.  Then there are samples of various clay pigments, & some yellow lichen(?) from up the "Yellow Stone" valley, which is used for yellow pigment. The little piece of wood is
