I did not approve of you, but I found you so earnest on your real interest for the Indians, found your spirit so like that of the real workers for them, that I only wished you could infuse your zeal into hundreds of our sex.  Then would this people who seem so truly my people, be lifted speedily to christian civilization.  

Please write me frankly whether you think I could obtain a hearing.

I hope, and I am sure, that we shall meet again, with more time to talk than in those flying moments when you were here.
