Dear Miss Fletcher,

Thanks for your account of interview with the Secy. I have written urging his visit to us on June 1st when our examination takes place. He is off the true course in preferring reservation & agency work, but I think he will have the good sense to change when he learns better. Reservations & agencies only perpetuate tribes & exclusive Indn living. If we want them to become one people with us we must break the shells and get them out among us.

I shall be ready for the Omaha Chn at anytime after July 1st but would prefer they came about Sept. 1st. Mrs. Pratt is quite used up. We had sixteen Phila. "Friends" here two days
