Dear Miss Fletcher-
       Thanks for the satisfactory accounts of you trip. Your telegram of the 22'- reached me late on the 23.- I telegraphed you on the 24' advising that you hire transportation to Rosebud Landing and if needed draw on me for funds. Your letter of the 23' shows that to be unnecessary. Should you have difficulty in recovering from the Indians you may take Steamboat companys receipt for the ferriage and let it go into your accounts.
  Authority is given me for sixty-five Sioux children,into which must go the Sitting Bull party. Suppose we say eight (8) from S.B. thirty (30) from Rosebud and twenty-seven (27) from Pine Ridge, but allow it to be flexible.
  I have also authority for twenty (20) Navajoes with instruction to get Pueblos or Sioux in case they object to send their children and the Dept
