Carlisle Jany 31. '83

My dear Miss Fletcher.
I thank you not a little, in my heart, for your two last letters. I wrote Mrs. Teller yesterday that I thought Friday the 16th or Monday the 19th would suit best for the Excursion from Wash[[superscript]]n[[/superscript]] to Carlisle. It was Mr Tellers judgement that I had better make the invitations myself & take in the men on the Educational Indian and Appropriations Committee
