My dear Miss Fletcher

The first thing I want to say is - What are you doing? & is the way clean or obstructed? But than I know that you have no time to tell me, so I shall wait till some kind Fate drifts you again within speaking distance. The two Indian Societies here were formed in too much of a hurry, they sympathise, but their working machinery is not of the best. Just now they are in labor with a public meeting at [Tremont?] Temple - I hope it will be a great meeting, but I am never very sanguine about such things - I suppose
