Miss Fletcher

I have been sick for two weeks, which will account for my not writing sooner. I see the force of your arguments, if you were to attempt to do all that you plan - viz - overcome the opposition of the Seal Co. Then to do what you laid out in your letter as needing to be done would from certain peculiar conditions take you [[underlined]] two years [[/underlined]]. There are certain influences that you can bring to bear next Nov & Dec that can not & need not wait a year. We can secure what we can with present light in the way of commencement of educational advantages & then get further light for more extended efforts.

The unexpectedly rapid march of events will overcome the opposition
