for sympathy. I did so some weeks ago, belaboring Congress, as I feel it deserves. On my way home Saturday I met him at Harrisburg on his way to spend Sunday with me. I talked over [[July?]] my successes and disappointments of the week, but said I could see clearly that the Lord had all the money I needed in the keeping of some one for me to ask for it. Gould met us in the lane on his way home, much concerned for my success. When he reached my home he (the County Parson) excused himself to go and see the children, were Mrs P- brought out a letter from the same C.P. giving me $2,000.00 for my shops. I only wanted $1500.00. My dear friend you can well imagine how full I was and my meeting with him a few minutes after.  It appears His father years ago left him a legacy in the State bonds of [[Levin?]] which were repudiated. but recently the State passed a law compromising with its creditors at 50c, on the dollar. My friend had given
