P.S. I am sorry, though not surprised, perhaps, that either Noah or Philip should have appealed to you to intercede for them in this matter which was left to their own choice to adopt or not as they deemed proper -- Having put this hand to the plow I should not have expected either of these young men to have asked to have someone relieve them or their agreement. They are strong and healthy young men and there is no earthly reason why they should not stick to their trades for the next year in accordance with their agreement, while there is every reason why they should.
