My Dear Miss Fletcher,

Winnebagoes arrived here O.K.- They are a very nice lot of children and I have no doubt they will prove very satisfactory. The boy is pretty small to accomplish much in this year's training i.e. so far as fitting him for teacher, but I am decidedly in favor of the less showy; but more thorough advancement which comes from taking the child young - There is a disadvantage in taking hold of such cases at a large school, like this -  Then is a [[underline]] large sized [[[/underline]] tendency towards quitting, which is apt to interfere with the best development of the child.  Mrs Rogers brought them through very nicely and deserves great credit therefore.  Everything moves along smoothly and I think of
