 My dear Miss Fletcher.
         We mailed to you the petition today and we sincerely hope the Agent has sent the other copy. We moved as fast as we could in the matter but still it is five or six days since we received your letter. Ed took the papers right over but it took them two days to sign . Mr Copley read the petition and Henry Fontenelle interpreted. The letters I didn't send as i wanted to read them to the men so as to be sure they understood the plan you proposed.
