Dear Miss Fletcher,

I have been sick since I last wrote to F. so have not written you sooner. Had a boil or something of the kind under my right arm got through it all without help, am now feeling much better. My eyes still trouble me. Tell Miss Gay I have had that horrid manure around the house hauled away so will not be surprise of my eyes improve and be all right again. It took Wallace and Ed half a day to get it up clean. Received yours & F's letter last night.
