Madam I am in receipt of a letter adressed to both my brother and myself. and my bother being absent from town I take the liberty to answer for him.

The Steamer which has been run from Rock Island to Okanogan River on the Columbia has not run any for several months. and the best way to reach the Lake Chelan would be to come to Waterville by way of Spokane Falls & Davenport to Coulee City from where a stage runs each day to Waterville. there is a weekly stage from here to Lake Chelan and good accommodations can be secured there.

There are several small steamers on the Lake which make trips every little while. I do not know how often.
