Dear Miss Fletcher:

Yours of the 23d i ust just rec'd, containing news of the Zuni music.  Please return my US [[underlined]]at once[[/underlined]] & I will go at my Harvard report & make it as full as I can, & as systematic. -- Meanwhile, I will try to harmonize the songs you sent.  I am sorry to say that the missing ones have not turned up yet, in spite of diligent search.  It is a bore; for I shall have to harmonize them all over again; - a big job, considering how my strength is taken up.

I don't think I'm prepared to help you much on your treatment of rhythm; except to say that it seems to me that what is chiefly  [[med]] is [[underlined]]the facts[[/underlined]] as to the Indian [[aberrations]] from the regular beat.  Why not specify in each song whether they beat the accent or the first of the measure? & if not, where and how they depart from it?  The
