Mt. Idaho, May 1st, 1891 My dear Miss Fletcher I do not know if you have reached Lapwai yet, but will send this in my sister's care to give you greeting when you come - if not there when it arrives. I expected you in March- was the reason I did not write to Washington to tell you why the M.S.S. vocabulary was not sent. It was in Joel Rankins house - I was very much afraid you could not clearly decipher Joels handwriting - and not understanding the Nez Perce words - so many mistakes might be made in going through the press, and it is so far between Washington & Mt. Idaho - for proof sheets to travel back and forth.
