My Dear Miss Fletcher.
Received yours of April 28th this afternoon.  I am very glad I was able to make a clear statement to you.  Wajapa was here yesterday and spoke of the help promised him.  I told him when you last wrote you said you wished to loan him $100.00 but did [[underline]] not say [[/underline]] that I should let him have it, but I expected you would soon write and tell me to do so.  Will let him have the $100. and take his note.  He is fencing about 240 acres for his own cattle.
The halfbreed case comes off the 12th in Omaha before Judge
