As for the "rhyming"; of course I have found it; - i.e. in the regular recurrence of similar phrases; what we call "Form" in music. (See Chap. III of my Hist. [[C.F.?]] Music.) I deal with it slightly in the Century article, as you will see.
I have begun copying the songs ready for the "Album". I have now [[two?]] copy in my book besides my original notes, which I wish to keep. I should like those I sent you, unless they go to the printer. This third copy is for the printer. I will send you copies of those in pencil if you will return them. I should not have sent you the pencil notes at all, only I felt there was need of haste.
I am thoroughly rested now and feel well. It is a great relief to me to get the Century article off my mind. If it pleases you, I shall be entirely relieved & very much gratified.
I trust you are going to get well now and not abuse your strength. Your work is too valuable to be abridged by overtaxing yourself.
Aside from that, it would grieve me greatly to know that your health was impaired. I trust Miss Gay is better also. My regards to both of you.
Yours cordially & sincerely,
J.C. Fillmore
