[[preprinted]] MILWAUKEE SCHOOL OF MUSIC
JOHN C. FILLMORE, DIRECTOR
MILWAUKEE, WIS., ^[[June 8]] 189 [[/preprinted]] 1.

My dear Miss Fletcher:

I enclose programs & I also send a paper containing notice of my work. I furnished that portion of the copy which characterizes the Indian music. The next is Heming's gush. But it all helps to advertise the work and awaken interest in it.

"He who by his biz would rise,
Must either [[underline]] bust [[/underline]] or advertise!"

I am awfully busy & tired & there will be not let up until the 25th. Then I mean to take a little rest before Mr La Flesche comes.

My regards to Miss Gay.

In haste, but cordially
Yours as ever
J. C. Fillmore
