My dear Miss Fletcher:

I have begun my Harvard Report and have written perhaps one third of it.  I hope it may please you.  It will be in a somewhat more sober tone than my [[underlined]] Century [[/underlined]] article. —— A week from to-day I expect Francis, for a week's visit & work.  Then I hope to get all my work with him finished & be ready to complete my Report and also the piano-forte Album.

Do you want to send in the songs [[underlined]] with words [[/underlined]]?  I mean those which accompany the report.  If so, I must have space.  I think I shall have to re-write a good many, to get in the double-drum beat.  Most, if not all, of the Hae-Thuska songs
