My dear Miss Fletcher:

Francis has gone, and I consider our work pretty well rounded up. I have got my Harvard Report nearly written; but I have got to copy and work over every single one of the 100 or so songs which go in with the Report. I have been learning all the time, and ever so many little points have come up to modify my previous conclusions.

I can't imagine how this work could have been done without Francis. Geo. Miller is satisfied with any sort of appropriation to his songs, and the others don't count.
