My dear Miss Fletcher:

Yours of the 13th inst was forwarded to me here, where I am rusticating for a few days.  I hasten to say that your letter makes me think that there may be little or no difference of opinion between us on any matter.  I hope I did not give Francis a wrong impression.  I feared you might be disappointed in my conclusions as to the Indian sense of pitch, and said so to him.  I was under the impression that you believed that they discriminated [[underlined]] accurately [[/underlined]], even with finer shades of difference than we do.  I am very sure indeed
