I think it would be a very taking little thing and if you want to empower me to do it and will send me the material I will be happy to edit and put the pamphlet through the press with no farther trouble.

And now about Miss Gay's last delightful etter [[probably letter]]. May I use some of that in the Register? It is altogether too good to keep to mysel f [[myself]]. But I dare not use all that she says about government affairs without her permission for fear I should work her or you a mischief. Please ask her to let me know [[handwritten ,]] because I want to use it soon if I may. I shall read a part of it at Mohonk, taking care that it does not get into the public press till I hear from her.

I was glad of the photographs of the chairs and of Her Majesty though I hardly knew whether to laugh or cry over the former. But they looked so like our camp chairs that I concluded to laugh [[handwritten !]] 

I wish you were both going to be at Mohonk. I suppose it is too early for you to get out of the wilderness.
