When you come up here, (I hope I must not say [[underlined]] if [[/underlined]] you come), we can consult about all the details. - Oh! and I want to show you my score, which may be played here yet this winter, and will, I hope be played at the World's Fair.
I can't tell you how much I want to become able to devote myself to scientific work, and primarily to the study of Indian Music, especially in its bearings on the evolution of music.  If I could get a chair of Music and History and Aesthetics, with light teaching or lecturing in some first-class institution which made a point of original investigation rather than class-room work, that would be as near
