Dear Miss Fletcher:--- You ask why I have not a paper at the M.T.N.A. Because I wasn't asked.Bowman, the President is in New York, and is in touch with Krehbiel. hence K.'s appointment. He spent last summer among the Indians in Canadaand will, I have no doubt, give us a very interesting paper. I have written Bowman an Earnest request to give you an opportunity to be heard on the subject; but have not yet received a reply. I don't see how he can refuse it , unless on the ground that the program is already full.I think he will be glad to accede to my request. If possible. I knew nothing of the plan to give K. that assignement until after it was made. I will let you know as soon as an anything turns up.-----I trust both you and Francis continue to improve in healt h. I hope to see you in Chicago late in June, if not sooner.Mrs F. joins me in cordial regards to you both.

Yours as ever,
