My Dear Miss Fletcher-

Thank you for your pleasant letter of Dec. 24- almost as if I had had a [[underlined]] little [[/underlined]] visit at 214,or at L. St.- But the music my Dear! Can't you [[underlined]] almost [[/underline]] hear me singing those songs  [[underlined]] with [[/underlined]] words? It seems to me as I try to realize it - that it must inspire some such sentiments as were expressed  by Mister Fox- with regard to the hunter's horn- "No doubt it is beautiful music but I would rather be off to my den O !!!"
