Monday morn Yours of the 12th just rec'd. I will send the type-written copy to Mathews as soon as I can revise it. I am sorry to say that I carelessly tore your enclosed review in cutting open the envelope; but it can still be pasted in a scrap-book. - I have just rec'd my MS returned from the [[underlined]] Century. [[/underlined]] Johnson thinks it unnecessary, the article being complete without it, & could not publish before August anyhow.
