   The nez Perces began worshiping  
Began worshiping the sun after the King George men (Hudson Bay Co.) came among them. (after Lewis & Clarks visit) Billy danced around the sun pole near to the present site of Wall-Walla-  As the years passed they doubted more and more their way of worship.   many a council or talk was ended with, "If we could only find the path of Lewis & Clark & follow it, we would find the [[underlined]] light [[/underlined]] or truth.
