should be turned over to you, if you desired. No one has so much right to them & they could not be of as much use to anyone else. At present, my son Thomas, in Mil. is negotiating with Pres. Ferguson in regard to taking his fathers place in the Coll. here, & I tho't it best to wait until he came, if he should decide to do so, before sending this material, as he could judge better than I could, what would be of value. If you would prefer to have it sent sooner I would do my best to collect it. In regard to the manuscript & songs you mention, I will write to Thomas to forward all papers of the kind found in his fathers baggage to you. His address is, No. 3349 Park Hill Ave, Milwaukee Wis. I regret exceedingly that you were unable to get his paper prepared for Boston & hope that it will now soon reach you. Thank Francis for his kind & sympathizing letter. No woman ever had a kinder husband. Since our daughters death, his one tho't has been what would be for my comfort & pleasure.

Yrs. cordially,

P.S. In regard to a biographical sketch, I think the article by Jo. S. B. Mathews in the Aug. "Music" is as good as anything I could furnish. There are some slight errors that need correction. He died at Taftville, not New London, Aug. 14th, not 15th. Born in Franklin, Conn. not N. London. Went to Leipsic in '66 not '86. Spent two years there, not one. Taught in Oberlin on his return for Prof. Geo. Slute, not Prof. Rice. These few corrections are all. The article seems to me a very appreciative one & will I think furnish all the data needed.
