My dear Miss Fletcher,
I owe you an apology for not writing sooner. I've been very busy and it was neglected. I have sent the book [[???]] and writings on the subject. I should have put them in the first package, but took it for granted that you had all his printed writings.
I can't tell you how much I appreciated your letter as a tribute to my father, and your friend. My delay in writing imply otherwise, but it is so nevertheless.
With regard to my father's early life, I will refer you to his uncle. R. H. Fillmore, Taftville, Conn. Then my mother may give some [[strikethrough]] sm [[/strikethrough]] interesting points. Her address is Linda Vista Turrna [[??]], Oakland California
