You will see by notes, slabs were set in shallow trench in earth work which formed circle of lodge, this earth work was about, half as high as a dining table, & slabs started inwardly, resting on stringers, This formed quite a space between posts & slabs. Tilting a chair forward top of back resting on edge of table shows me how the space between slabs & posts would look back of chair representing slabs. Forked posts of any hard wood was need for bed, There posts were driven into the ground on the side of post supporting string

Back was taken off forked bed posts also sides & end pieces, left on mattress.
