Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, June 15th - 1901.

My dear Miss Fletcher:-

Just a line, to thank you again deeply and sincerely for your exquisite book on Indian song and story, which arrived a few days ago. I have been reading its stories over and over again. Of course to me it is intensely interesting. But I am sure it will be gratifying to you to know that it has given real pleasure to my little, nearly eight years old daughter Gretchen, who is ill in bed. I have read most of the stories to her more than once, and have sung the songs again and again.

With hearty good wishes to yourself and to Mr. La Flesche,
I am
very cordially and sincerely yours
