Miss Fletcher,

Dear Friend, your letter with the $2.00 just reached me and I have put it away. This coming Friday old man will have his Buffalo dance and the calico came in time. I shall send it to him tomorrow - I told Hawk Norman his mate that you sent the calico for the Skull and he said "na-wa-e-re"- "Thank you" - I am to get 2 sacks of flour for old man: also 75¢ worth of coffee 75¢ sugar and 25¢ Bak Powder - also 25¢ worth tobacco - The two dollars I put away for I shall pay it to the young man for work he shall do for me when I attend the Skull Bundle ceremony. Corn is to be distributed women are to dance with shoulder blade hoes: two will dance with the seed baskets - I shall write you all about it. I wrote you about the other and I know I did not tell you all. Very hard for me to write -
Your Friend James R. Murie
