July 11, 1903

My dear Miss Fletcher:-

In accordance with our understanding of this morning I am askign you to prepare, for the Bureau files, a brief sketch of the history of your work for the Bureau in its relation to the manuscripts for which payments have been made to you. Inclosed is a list of the manuscripts as they appear on our books, and I will be under great obligations if you will indicate in each case the status of the manuscript to have a statement of the relations of the payments to the manuscripts as they actually stand today. I hope this is not imposing too much on your good nature, but I fear that unless such data is furnished confusion will result in the future.

Very truly yours,

Chief.

Miss Alice Fletcher,
