My dear Miss Fletcher:

I am very glad to hear from you, but sorry indeed to learn of your illness. I sincerely trust you will soon be quite yourself again and that you may still have the opportunity of going over the manuscript material of which I spoke.

It was not alone the Pawnee description, but on the whole Caddoan stock that I had in mind and had hope of your understanding. You will probably say that some of the Caddoan tribes you know nothing about, but this is the case also
